What are natural fibers?

Natural fibers come from either animals or plants (cashmere, linen, wool, cotton...). They are directly extracted from nature, hence so valuable.

Natural fibers are very important to the environment, industry and agriculture. They have a series of unique and special characteristics: they're breathable (no need for frequent cleaning), biodegradable, and less contaminant, since less energy is used for its production.

What distinguishes them from synthetic fibers?

Natural fibers distinguish from synthetic fibers in that these last ones are man-made (polyester, acrylic, polyurethane...) using components such as petroleum -amongst others- harmful for our skin, more contaminating, and with a higher environmental impact.. They also don't let our skin breathe properly, hence will need frequent cleaning with its consequent energy and water consumption.
